1. Who We Are
venq ("we", "our", or "us") is a market management platform for independent vendors, artists, and makers, operated at govenq.com. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our service.
2. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
- Account information: Your name and email address when you sign up. Passwords are never stored in plain text. Authentication is handled securely by Supabase and we have no access to your password.
- Business information: Your business name, craft categories, and vending frequency provided during onboarding.
- Market data: Event records, sales figures, expenses, applications, and related information you enter into venq.
- Payment information: Billing is handled by Stripe. We store only your Stripe Customer ID. We never see or store your full card number.
- Usage data: Basic analytics on how you interact with the platform to improve our service.
- Local storage: We store non-sensitive preferences (such as display settings) in your browser's local storage.
3. Google API Disclosure
venq's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
We do not use Google user data for serving advertisements. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.
4. How We Use Your Information
- Authentication: To verify your identity and secure your account.
- Service delivery: To display your market events, applications, analytics, and dashboard data. Your product recipes, materials costs, and pricing information are used solely to power your own dashboard and are never accessed by venq staff for commercial purposes, shared with other users, or used to train AI models or inform any third party.
- Billing: To process subscription payments through Stripe.
- Communication: To send account-related updates, subscription confirmations, and support responses.
- Improvement: To monitor platform performance, fix issues, and improve the product.
5. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate venq:
- Supabase: Secure database and authentication infrastructure.
- Stripe: Payment processing. Subject to Stripe's Privacy Policy.
- Vercel: Hosting and deployment infrastructure.
- Square / Shopify: If you connect a POS integration, we access your sales and catalog data from these services on your behalf. This data is used solely to populate your venq dashboard. We do not retain raw POS credentials beyond what is needed to maintain your authorized connection.
We do not sell your data to any third party.
6. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your information as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and data at any time by emailing support@govenq.com. Upon request, we will remove your personal data from our active databases within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate data.
- Request deletion of your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing of your data.
- Export your data in a portable format.

8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or a notice in the app. Continued use of venq after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
